Some data about our trip we made together with our friends Aafke and Leo (still another Gang of Four). The trekking around the Manaslu would take 19 days walking: from the lowest point in Ghorka at 500m to the highest point the Lakya pass at 5250 m and then down again. The trekking was arranged by
HT Wandelreizen.
For our group of four, we had 2 Nepali guides, 2 cooks and a helper, and 18 porters to carry all luggage, fuel and food. After two third of the trekking – in the base camp just at 4550 m before the pass – we could not continue because there was too much snow. We had to go back and eventually needed two extra days. So we were walking 21 days usually from half past seven till around four with one and a half hour lunch break. Quite heavy but also very beautiful.
